Who?
I’m a visual artist. I live and work in Tallinn, Estonia. I have always enjoyed creating pretty things. Painting is certainly one of my main passions. I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember. I like to paint on different materials and objects in different ways: oil, watercolor, acrylic, glass, porcelain, silk, leather. All the craft items I make are handmade. As well as painting and drawing I am also involved in projects involving digital imagery.
I have got my qualifications in:
◊ Children Art School of Tartu (1986-1989), visual arts
◊ Tartu Lillekool (1995-1996), leatherwork
◊ Tartu Folk High School Training Centre (2005-2007), silk painting, porcelain painting, Tiffany vitrage
◊ Estonian Academy of Arts (2009-2010; 2011- …), painting and drawing; graphical design
My haiku writing is like painting a mental image in the reader’s mind.
